Wow has it been awhile....

So a lot has happened, we have moved into our new place and settled in. The summer has flown by with very little nice weather. We had much much more rain here than normal and it was colder than it should have been aswell. I think that almost everyone was in the same boat this year with the weather though. Speaking of boats, we also purchased a boat this year. So there are some pics of that here too.
We had my family out for the August long weekend and enjoyed camping in our yard, but the weather was somewhat lousy so it worked out for the best. We were able to take day trips with the boat and have a nice hot shower and bed at the end of the day. It was great to get us all together.
We have also recently found out that we are pregnant, we had an ultrasound to give us a due date and we are due April 3. It's very exciting but I have not been feeling well at all with this one, Jonathan says it must be a girl cause only girls are this much trouble..... Well it has been a different pregnancy so it may be. Either way we will be happy.
So we are headed to Swift Current for Thanksgiving, I can't wait to get away from all the work stress amongst other things. But I should probably wrap this up, 2 year olds are a hand full... yeah, froot loops all over the floor.
Hopefully it won't be as long next time.

Yeah!

So we have finally purchased a home. We get possession on May 1st and I am very excited. We decided to buy a mobile home and then upgrade in a few years. We have also been playing with the idea of purchasing land and moving it. But for now it is a place to call our own, it's been greatly needed lately.
Things are going very well, Jonathan is doing really great and so are the girls. If you were to see them walking down the street you would never know that they were so seriously injured just a few months ago. Work has been slowing down for him this time of year, but he has enough of his own stuff to keep him occupied. We picked up a very broken 2004 Chevy 4x4 pickup and he is just in the process of fixing it. Very exciting...
Riley is growing like a weed, seems like just last week I was telling people he was level with the kitchen table, now he can stand on his tippy toes and you can see his entire face over the table! He is talking a lot more and can repeat just about anything you say to him. He also seems to understand everything now. If you ask him if he wants something he will tell you no by shaking his head or yes by saying uh hu. He is always getting into something and doesn't like coming in from outside at all. Growing up so fast.... Well speaking of which, he is now tearing apart a drawer full of baking tools, better go.

Ugg...

So just when we thought that things were going really well, things fall apart. We decided to do something nice for some friends by trading vehicles with them. Their daily driver was in need of some work and being down on their luck with the truck we decided we would trade them for our truck. They picked it up last weekend, it was running great, and went home with it. Got in it that night and it wouldn't start. On a side note, this was the truck that was involved in the accident and was inspected by the police and needed the brakes fixed and a provincial inspection. Jonathan did all the work to get it up to snuff and his co-worker finished up the paper work for him. So our friends had to take it in to a shop to get it fixed and the mechanic noticed it had an inspection done. For whatever reason he was under the truck, which had nothing to do with the truck not starting, and noticed some rust. The mechanic told our friends that because the truck was just inspected and the rust was not fixed, he had to report it to the inspection department. So Jonathan and his co-worker could be in a smidge of trouble. We had the truck inspected in Swift just in July and there was not mention of this "rust" nor in the police inspection. So we really need prayer that Jonathan and his co-worker will not be in serious trouble and that something good will come of this for our friends. I hope this makes sense, as it's a bit of a complex story. The last few weeks have been really trying for us and we are very discouraged with this happening.
Then to top it all off, we may not be able to buy in the trailer park we are the most interested in because our dog may be too tall! Yes they have a dog height restriction in the trailer park.
Seems like we cannot win with anything we try to do, Jonathan is so distracted with all this stuff he is having trouble concentrating at work.
I think we need a holiday!
At least Riley is cute, teething and all....
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate it!

Thank you

We first of all want to say thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for Jonathan. For those who don't know what I am talking about, Jonathan was involved in an accident about 2 weeks ago. Two young girls were tobogganing down a hill, just two houses down from where we are staying and they ended up going way to fast and collided with his truck on the road. The girls are now doing great but there was a lot of uncertainty. Please continue to pray for Jonathan and the girls for healing. I think that this is something extremely tragic but out of it we have met some amazing people. We have attended the church that the girls belong to and they have welcomed us with open arms. There has been a ton of support and prayer for everyone involved.

Riley has grown like a weed again, seems like every time I measure him he is considerably taller. He is walking and running, bending down and picking things up and walking sideways. He is talking more, babbling mostly but trying out a lot more sounds. He has 11 teeth, one more molar and his eye teeth left to go.

We are also in the process of looking for a house. We are loving Cranbrook and are excited to find our own "home". It has been a little stress full as I am only working casual hours, so our ability to buy our dream home is definitely not as easy. Again, we are so great full for all your prayers. Love you all.
