Yeah...

Things are a bit crazy around here lately, but I think at this point it is mostly under control. I have only 4 weeks left of work, due to some little things that are helping me to get some extra time off. I have been getting short of breath lately and lots of Braxton Hicks which is making me slow down despite my endless amounts of energy. We have about 10 more weeks until our actual due date, so I will have lots of time at home with Riley before the baby comes. Maybe we can get him on a more consistent sleeping schedule, 5:45 am is just tooooo early!!
Today it feels like spring, it's 4 degrees outside and the sun is shining, the snow is almost all melted. Riley really enjoys playing outside but the yard is still very crunchy with a little layer of very slippery snow. Makes it hard to do too much out there. He loves to color and build things with his blocks and legos. Everyday something comes out of his mouth that amazes me. He can sing all his abc's and can count now to 11. He can sing all of Twinkle Twinkle, although it sounds more like "Ninkle ninkle ittle tar, how wonder what are..." It's very cute and of course he will not do it for the camera. He loves to look at pictures of himself on the camera or computer. He loves to make music of any kind and "play" his "tar" (guitar). He is constantly fixing things with his drill, or his tool box which is actually my utencil drawer... Such a character.
Anyways, just a quick one today, more to come!

New Years Resolution- Stay in touch

So I have been really bad at keeping this blog up to date, but my New Year's resolution this year is to keep in touch with more people. So I am going to try to keep on top of updating.
We had a very relaxing Christmas this year, we headed out to Swift Current to spend time with my family. We had no set schedule and lots of time so we were able to just spend a day on the couch if we wanted. It was great to see my sister and her family, my parents and my Grandma and her beau. We were also able to spend an afternoon with our really good friends from Saskatoon, Sandi and Jason and their 6 kids. We hadn't seen them in over 5 years, but it didn't feel like it. It's really great to have friends that you can just sit down and talk with no matter how long it's been and it made us realize that we all get so caught up in the day to day stuff that we forget to pick up the phone and call someone you haven't talked to in a while. So thanks Sandi and Jason for reminding me that there are lots of important people in our lives that are way more important than all the little stuff. After all, if it's not love you can't take it with you!
So right now I am 27 weeks pregnant and feeling a bit like a whale, although I am not any bigger than I was at this stage with Riley. It's hard to believe in 3 months we will have another child. I am excited but also a little nervous, I've been told it's the hardest transition. This pregnancy has been very different than with Riley, so we are thinking it's a girl. We would, of course, be happy with a healthy child no matter what the sex. We also welcomed a new niece yesterday. Steve and Lorelle ( Jonathan's brother and wife ) had a baby girl yesterday. Baby Neysa was a welcomed birthday present for mommy yesterday around noon. Sounds like everyone is doing great! Can't wait to meet her. Anyway here are some pictures of our Christmas. Enjoy!

My Sister's daughter, Cori. She'll be 1 tomorrow!
Riley and cousin Dade, Cori's big brother. He will be 4 in May.
