So we are finally having some nice weather, except for today... it's raining. But it does feel like spring is here to stay. Jonathan and I have been discussing some sort of camping device to make it a little more enjoyable with the boys, he's been watching for a good deal to come our way and we found it yesterday. We went out to Kimberly to look at a 1971 Frontier Camper for the truck. I was a bit concerned about the age of it as most of them that are this old are pretty much rotten inside and smell gross. But we went to look at it anyway because it was a great price. We ended up spending almost the entire day there as we both really liked it and it was almost in mint condition. Jonathan's truck is quite a bit higher than most trucks so it was a bit of a gong show trying to get it up high enough to get in the truck. But we did and we LOVE it. It's a bit of an eye sore from the outside and looks really small but it's really great inside, I'll get some interior pics up a little later. It's quite roomy and has lots of storage. We are really excited to go camping now and we can also tow the boat.
Brayden is growing like a weed... anyone surprised??? He was weighed on May 9th and he was 12lbs 8oz!! I'm sure he is over 13lbs by now. He still sleeps quite a bit but is very alert when awake. He is making more noises now, cooing and grunting a lot. He loves to watch Riley and is a tough little guy already. Riley like to squish him for some strange reason so I have to keep an eye on them. Riley is still loving him, we have only had a couple of "jealous" situations. It seems that Riley doesn't want to share his Daddy... but he is getting much better.
We are trying to plan our summer, it seems like just when you have it all together something changes and you have to rethink it all. But at least now we can go camping a little more comfortably! I guess I should go do some laundry or something while Brayden is sleeping. More pics of the camper to follow in the next couple of days!
